Deserve a round of applause: Stefanie ~ Stefanie Sun

There goes a year as Autumn falls. After having taken a well-deserved one year break, music princess Stefanie Sun returns with the latest album, Stefanie, with twelve brand new songs.

The long-awaited album is co-produced by Li SiSong, Li WeiSong and Stefanie. The direction of this album differs not much from the previous as half of the songs are touching ballads and the other half passionate light-hearted tunes.

The opening track Rush (Track#8) is a rhythmic, poppy and catchy piece of song. As for Stephanie's vocal, she is energetic, manages to sing in any way the producer and songwriter desires. She also sounds a bit naughty in certain part which is attractive.

My Love (Track#2), the No. 1 ballad in the album, is excellent. The main part and the chorus are nature and moving and the use of flute and string instruments have left them an even more angelic. Infectious performance in I Miss Him Too (Track#4) pleases everybody while the hand organ accompaniment has appeased the setting of the song.

Heard (Track#5) and Zhong (Track#8) are both decent Stefanie's trademark songs. The lyrics of the title song Stephanie (Track#10) is written by the lady singer. The story it tells is so real that many believe the feelings in it are true.

Stefanie's performance in Turn The Way Around (Track#9) prevails with the song itself. Multi style of interpretation makes it more stylish and refreshing. As for the others, Same Kind (Track#7) and Take It Easy (Track#6) are cool too.

Recommendations: My Love (Track#2), I Miss Him Too (Track#4), Turn The Way Around (Track#9), Stefanie (Track#10)

Seriously, this being one of my first albums that I bought, it was worth all the money. The mix of catchy, aggressive upbeat tracks, and more laidback, midtempo songs, provides a nice switch between the 2. The first track is a powerful upbeat pop track that goes nicely with Stefanie's vocals. The third is a laidback, midtempo track that starts off rather countryish, but ends up being a catchy pop/rock song.

This is definitely one of the best Cpop albums out there and you should definitely get your hands on it if you can.
