Directed by Han Sang Hee, Karma is part of the Strange School Tales series of horror stories. Adopted to Canada as a child, Yoo I (Kara's Han Seung Yeon) returns to Korea as an adult and becomes a teacher. Unexpectedly, she gets a position at the high school that her father taught at 20 years ago. She returns to her hometown and the old family home that local residents regard as a haunted house. She tries to piece together her fragmented memories of her birth parents, but strange visions of a female ghost keep appearing before her. Yoo I discovers her father's journal from years ago. Inside, she uncovers the family tragedy of how her father was deceived at school and how her pianist mother gradually went mad. All of this seems to related to the house.
