YesAsia Editorial Description

Tae Yang is going international with Solar! His first solo full-length album set off a frenzy earlier in July when the Deluxe Edition sold out almost immediately upon release. Now we get the Solar International Release Album, which comes with a mix of old and new songs. The album has five tracks off the original Korea Version Solar, including the single I Need a Girl featuring G-Dragon, as well as his earlier hits Where U At, "Prayer", and "Only Look at Me". Now for the "international" part, Tae Yang's epic new title song I'll Be There has been recorded in both English and Korean. Plus, the album includes the English version of Wedding Dress and the English song Connection featuring Big Tone.

Solar International Release Album comes with a DVD containing seven music videos and MV making-of footage. First Press includes a YG Family Card.

태양 [SOLAR] - 인터내셔널 릴리즈 앨범

지난 7월 발매한 첫 정규앨범 [SOLAR]로 미국 아이튠스에서 동양인으로서는 최초로 'R&B/SOUL 앨범' 차트 2위, 캐나다 차트에서는 1위를 차지하며 화제를 모았던 태양이 인터내셔널릴리즈 앨범을 발표한다. 앨범에는 기존 정규앨범에서 들을 수 없었던 두 곡의 신곡을 비롯해 ‘Wedding dress’의 영어 버전 등 그 동안 발표했던 곡들 중 해외 팬들이 가장 좋아할만한 곡들을 골라 총 12곡이 수록된다.

이번 앨범 타이틀곡은 “ I’ll be there” 라는 곡으로써, 이전에 선보인 “I need a girl”이 부드러운 미디움 템포의 R&B 곡이었다면 “ I’ll be there”은 강하고 빠른 비트의 힙합 R&B 곡으로 전세계 팬들을 위해 한국어와 영어로 각각 녹음하여 앨범의 가치를 높였다.

아울러 이번 앨범에는 지금까지 발표된 태양의 모든 뮤직비디오와 메이킹 필름을 담은 DVD가 보너스로 구성되어, 새로운 사운드뿐만 아니라 태양 특유의 화려한 퍼포먼스까지 함께 즐길 수 있다.

한편 태양은 오는 9월 25~26일 경희대 평화의 전당에서 "만 18세 이상관람가"와 "전체 관람가”로 총 2회에 걸쳐
솔로 콘서트를 진행할 예정이다. 특히 이번 콘서트는 90% 이상 라이브 밴드로 진행되어 음반과는 또 다른 태양의 매력을 느낄 수 있는 기회가 될 것이다.

I didnt Buy my copy from here because they dont sell the poster with it but ill do a review anyway.
To me this album seems more like a Greatest hits album with a few English versions and one
new song(Conection, which i love!).The music is great and it does come with a photobook but its
smaller than the solar's album booklet. As for the DvD, I hacked my DVD player to make it Region all
so I could watch the DVD. Its really amazing to watch Taeyang's MVs on you TV. I also speak some
korean so the No english suds didnt bother me that much. If your a true VIP, pick up this album!!!

I'm from Canada, and i was wondering where you guys are from.. It says in the details "DVD region 3", so i'd like to know if any one of you had a problem playing the dvd... Thanks a lot !

Just received my copy this afternoon. Lots of the stuffs aren't translated, so don't understand. Stated as international version, should have translated. Overall, I'm loving the album as he's Taeyang. Definitely worth the buy. ^^

I got mine yesterday.
Haha, I was just really worried about how long it was taking.
The only complaint I have, minus the one everyone is talking about(no subs)
Is the Yg Family Card.
It's not translated either.
So I don't know what my number is.
