Taiyou no Melody (Japan Version)

In the spring of 2010, Japan's Miyazaki Prefecture was hit with an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease. The disease - and the ensuing slaughter to contain it - has caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of livestock. For a place that relies heavily on their livestock to drive its economy, the outbreak is leaving lasting damage on the livelihoods of the farmers in the area. To offer support to those who have been affected by this crisis, Imai Miki and Kobukuro's Kobuchi Kentaro - both Miyazaki natives - join forces for the song Taiyou no Melody. The two are joined by Hotei Tomoyasu (Imai's husband) and Kuroda Shunsuke (the other half of Kobukuro) for this touching, inspirational guitar-driven ballad. All profits from the single's sales will be going to a Miyazaki-based organization supporting those affected by the outbreak.
