YesAsia Editorial Description

Patrick Kong's (Natural Born Lovers, Marriage With A Liar) latest comedy The Best Plan Is No Plan is high on Hong Kong-style humor and hijinks. Starring Hanjin Tan (I Love Hong Kong 2012), Justin Cheung (Due West: Our Sex Journey) and Sammy Shum (Lan Kwai Fong 2), the romantic comedy details three different men's approach to love – one can't get past a casual affair, one is unable to recover from his last breakup and one is his girlfriend's yes-man. Filled with laugh-out-loud moments and nonsensical jokes, the film is Kong's second outing in less than two months following the romantic melodrama A Secret Between Us.

Chan Wing Sing (Justin Cheung), Yip Lai Shin (Hanjin Chan) and Ma Wei Hung (Sammy Shum) are three friends who find out at their ex-girlfriend's funeral that they were all involved with the same woman at some point in their lives. Feeling at a loss in love, the three of them bond overnight to overcome their future obstacles with women.

The Best Plan: Avoid This Movie! Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
What the heck has become of director Patrick Kong? Is he overworked? Burnt out? Whatever the explanation, there really can be no excuse for the mess that is "The Best Plan Is No Plan". This is audience abuse. Or theft. I'd sure like my money (and time) back.

The title perfectly encapsulates this crummy movie. The filmmakers seemed to have no plan. The storylines meander aimlessly with little coherence, while new characters keep turning up seemingly at random.

The cast includes lots of pretty young models-turned-actresses, so there is plenty of eye candy. That's the best thing I can say about this debacle.
