YesAsia Editorial Description

The Pang Brothers gave new life to Hong Kong horror cinema with The Eye released in 2002. Effectively scaring audiences with not only jump scares but an encompassing atmosphere that unnerves and terrifies, the unsettling supernatural thriller has become an Asian horror classic that got a Hollywood remake in 2008. In a performance that won her Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Awards and Golden Horse Film Awards, Angelica Lee plays a woman who gains the ability to see ghosts after getting a cornea transplant. The Eye was followed by the standalone sequels The Eye 2 and The Eye 10.

Limited to 666 sets, this 20th anniversary boxset comes with The Eye, The Eye 2 and The Eye 10 on Blu-ray and DVD. It also comes with three movie poster cards, The Eye 20th anniversary booklet and a bookmark set.

The Eye (2002)
Mun (Angelica Lee) lost her eyesight at a young age. She finally has the chance to see again when she gets a cornea transplant. However, the world she sees is strange and even terrifying, and those around her do not understand her struggle. She tries to adjust and make sense of the ghostly images that appear before her. One day, she learns that the reflection she sees in the mirror is not her own face.

The Eye 2 (2004)
"Suicide is a dreadful sin. The souls of those who committed suicide are obliged to repeat their painful deaths everyday..." Having won international acclaim with The Eye in 2002, the Pang Brothers joined forces with producer Peter Chan to direct a mysterious tale about pregnancy and suicide. Joey (Shu Qi) recovers from an overdose of sleeping pills. She vows never to turn to self-destruction again and looks forward to a brand new life. Unexpectedly, she gets pregnant. She decides to keep her baby and suddenly develops the ability to see the dead...

The Eye 10 (2005)
The Pang Brothers bring you into their ghostly world again in The Eye 10 starring Taiwan actor Chen Bo Lin (Blue Gate Crossing), Hong Kong singer Isabella Leong in her silver-screen debut, and Kate Yeung (20 30 40). Most people are afraid of seeing ghosts. But there are always people who, in proving their exceptional courage or in search of new excitements, attempt to communicate with all sorts of spirits. A comic teaches a game about ten ways to meet the supernatural beings according to Thai legends. Ignoring the warnings on the first page, a group of youngsters decides to play this fatal game, without knowing that they may never be able to end it…

Awesome movie Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This horror movie is probably one of the scariest movie i've ever seen. I really like cause it has scary scenes through out the whole movie. It's not one of the movies where it's only scary at the end or the beginning. It also has a really good story line to it too. I've seen a lot of horror movies and this is still my number 1.

Scary Stuff. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I finally decided to watch this after hearing there would be a Hollywood remake starring Jessica Alba (which is good too!).

Any sort of Chinese language is Greek to me, (Japanese is my language) and for some reason it made it that bit more interesting. This is the first non-Japanese horror I've ever watched and I was blown away. Of course, those who know Asian horror will be aware that little cultural things will make it that bit more scarier, like Ringu for example. I enjoyed the film, but it didn't scare me at all. However, my native Japanese friends have told me that they couldn't even watch it at some parts. I will admit to being a bit wary that I wouldn't be as scared because I didn't know the cultural folk stories that some towns and races have been raised with.

Alas, this film freaked me out to the core. Even the opening credits, with the hands scratching and grabbing the white sheet was spine tingling. The plot itself is actually quite a sad story but nonetheless scary! Very scary! Alot of parts are "blink-and-you'll-miss-it", but these are what make The Eye special. Its like "Was I supposed to see that?! Is that actually THERE?!" This film is very good. Directing, actors and story.

For some top class Asian horror, I recommend The Eye.

one of my favourite movies great performances and effects. The subtitles are perfect, as is the picture and audio. I have seen the whole trilogy and this is by far the best, if you like this one then skip the others.

One of the Better Ones.... Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This show was one of the blockbuster here in my country when it first came out.I have to say i was very impressed with Angelica Lee and am proud that she won award in her role here and to be representing our country is another achievement.

Quite a scary show and i will never forget when she was in the lift scene.Pretty scary when it's you alone riding in the lift at night.Would reccommend people to buy this first one instead of The Eye 2.
