Thanks to its dramatic subject matter, impactful storytelling and leading man Cheng Siu Chau's superb performance, 1987 TVB series The Final Verdict was a massive ratings hit upon its initial airing. The story centers on Tse Man Mo (Cheng Siu Chau), a man who was sentenced to life in jail in 1971 after being framed for the bloody murder of a family. Fourteen years later, Man Mo is found to be innocent and released. Though he regains his freedom, he has to contend with the grim reality of what his life has become. His former wife (Chan Sau Chu) is now married to the corrupt inspector who sent him to jail. His son (Roger Kwok) has become withdrawn from society and his daughter (Lai Yui Lee) is veering towards the wrong side of the tracks. Luk Kwok Wing (Kenneth Tsang), the actual perpetrator of the murder Man Mo was jailed for, has become a wealthy and powerful mogul. In the face of all this, Man Mo decides to pursue justice and unveil the truth behind the murder, but it is Luk who strikes first, going after Man Mo with all his might.

I LIKE THIS SERIES. HIS ACTING IS VERY NATURAL. IT IS A GOOD SERIES U SHOULD COLLECT. HE IS A GOOD FAMILY MAN IN IT BUT IT IS VERY SAD FOR HIS FAMILY LIFE.
