Sungkyunkwan Scandal star Song Joong Ki takes a dark turn for the hit KBS revenge melodrama The Innocent Man (a.k.a. Nice Guy and No Such Thing As Nice Guys). Earning rave reviews for his performance, Song Joong Ki plays a conflicted young man driven down a cold path of revenge against the love who betrayed him. Moon Chae Won follows her breakout role in The Princess' Man with another strong turn as the willful heroine, while Park Si Yeon (Coffee House) co-stars as the femme fatale who leads many a man to ruin.

Medical student Ma Roo (Song Joong Ki) had a bright future ahead of him, but he threw it all away to protect his girlfriend Jae Hee (Park Si Yeon), who accidentally killed someone under shady circumstances. Ma Roo goes to jail for Jae Hee, only to discover upon his return that she had married wealthy businessman Seo Jung Gyu (Kim Young Chul). The betrayal runs deep, as Jae Hee continues to manipulate those around her to cover her own tracks. Ma Roo turns just as duplicitous, using Seo Jung Gyu's lovestruck daughter Eun Gi (Moon Chae Won) as a chess piece in his revenge plan. The strong-willed Eun Gi, however, proves to be a formidable match herself for both Ma Roo and Jae Hee.

This Singaporean DVD set is only in 4:3 format with black borders on both sides. It should've been in anamorphic 16:9 format that completly fills up your widescreen 16:9 tv. Hm. I'm disappointed. Avoid this release.

Excellent picture quality Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Being the devoted fan of Song Joong Ki ssi, I bought 3 different versions of Innocent Man DVDs.The quality of the picture is far outstanding in this original Korean KBS version as compared to the Taiwan and Singaporean produced DVDs. Definitely, it's worth the money that I paid for ! My box set was delivered to me in good condition just a few days ago (29.6.2016). Really surprised that 2 reviewers actually complained about the poor state of the delivered package... May be they were just unlucky?! I was initially hesitated whether to purchase this KBS version after having read the reviews regarding the poor packaging. But at the end, I was glad that I went ahead with the purchase.
Couldn't wait for the release of the KBS version of Descendants of The Sun DVD (DOTS) after being so disappointed with DOTS DVD sold by Poh Kim!

 Experienced same issue as previous reviewer Customer Review Rated Bad 0 - 0 out of 10
I just want to mention that I had the same problem with this DVD set. I purchased it at another online DVD store, but these types of sets are not suited to ship overseas. The contents inside are so heavy, and the box is so flimsy that it will certainly fall apart in transit no matter how much bubble wrap is used.

I really loathe these "Premium Edition" sets now and avoid purchasing them. It is extremely disheartening to spend $150+ on something to receive it broken up in pieces. I have not only experienced this with The Innocent Man, but also Rooftop Prince and Moon Embracing the Sun Premium DVD sets.

Just a warning to anyone possibly new to purchasing these from overseas. As for the drama itself, yeah it's nice, but pointless buying a costly box set when it 80% of the time arrives broken.

 Disappointing... Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
When I received my copy the packaging was falling apart. The box was not
assembled correctly and it was ripping from the top I had to tape it. The cases
in which the dvd's came were falling apart and and I had to glue them again myself.
As for the English subtitles there were several typos but still very readable. I hope
the dvd's don't have any scratches on them and are not skipping.

I was very disappointed because for the price I paid you would think the manufacturing
would be perfect. I did love the postcards and the book that came with it though. However,
I am reluctant to buy another Korean drama from them because they are too expensive for what
you get.
