Directed by Chan Chun Hao, the Taiwan TV film The Roar is part of PTS's acclaimed Life Story series. The drama examines and reflects on various social issues and challenges affecting the modern family and human condition.
Taxi driver Huang (Wu Pong Fong) observes the many different problems of modern living from the complaints and conversations of his various passengers. His wife (Ho Ai Yun) deals with financial and marital anxiety, and seeks help from absurd sources. His daughter (Wilson Hsu) faces problems with school, relationships and pregnancy. All three keep secrets from each other, but the façade of calm is broken when Huang encounters a robbery.

以計程車司機黃仔的生活為背景，從各式乘客對生活的控訴、妥協及反思，窺視社會的百態並從其家庭生活中呈現現代生活中的各種問題;透過老婆的視角表述家庭主婦對金錢、婚姻的各種不安，以及在面對生活困境時，求助神明和朋友的各種看似荒謬又真實的狀態;女兒面對學校、男友、懷孕的各種麻煩，懵懂的處理與自以為成熟的表象。
司機、老婆、小孩各有秘密但都隱忍不說，直到司機碰見ㄧ場搶案，打破家庭裡的平靜表象，更勾起了計程司機壓抑許久的非分之想。
