Three top swordsmen meet and fight with one another for their own reasons in The Swordsman! Jang Hyuk (Ordinary Person), Joe Taslim (The Night Comes for Us) and Jung Man Shik (Rampant) star as the swordsmen in writer-director Choi Jae Hoon's period action feature. Kim Hyun Soo from the hit K-Drama Penthouse plays the daughter of Jang Hyuk's character, while BTOB's Min Hyuk makes his silver-screen debut as the younger version of the protagonist.

Once the best swordsman in Joseon, Tae Yool (Jang Hyuk) disappeared after the dethronement of Gwanghaegun. While the country is in chaos during the Ming-Qing transition, Qing royal Gurutai (Joe Taslim) persecutes Joseon for an unreasonable demand. Meanwhile, Tae Yool is losing his eyesight, and his daughter Tae Ok (Kim Hyun Soo) gets caught by Gurutai's subordinates. Tae Yool must wield his sword again to save his daughter.
