Directed by Taiwan-based Japanese actor-filmmaker Kitamura Toyoharu (Forever Love), The Thin Blue Lines is part of the "Metro of Love" film series that uses the Taipei Metro as backdrop for romance. Starring Janel Tsai (Another Woman) and Michael Chang (Together), the lighthearted romantic drama explores different views towards love and marriage.

Pressured by her father (Ma Ju Lung) to get married, Xiao Xian (Janel Tsai) in turn pressures her boyfriend Han Dong (Richard Sun) about marital plans, but Han Dong thinks now is not yet the time. After all, both of them still have dreams to pursue. The two get into an argument at a friend's wedding, and it doesn't go unnoticed by the wedding photographer Xiang Hai (Michael Chang). An aspiring director, Xiang Hai is financially unstable and has to work multiple jobs to support his dreams. When Xiao Xian and Xiang Hai's paths cross again, their lives will suddenly become intimately intertwined because of two thin blue lines.

婚姻觀不同愛情關難過?
現今婚姻不同以往，有著不同的形式與觀念，男女之間到了適婚年齡，如果對結婚的觀念不同，往往容易產生碰撞與摩擦，感情生變。
小嫻面對父親不斷催婚有了壓力，便轉為對正在交往的韓東催婚，但是韓東認為時間還沒到，兩人都有不同的夢想還未實現，婚姻根本是夢想的墳墓。兩人在朋友的婚禮上有了爭吵，婚禮攝影師湘海目睹了他們的爭吵，本來以為僅僅只是一面之緣，沒想到之後湘海與小嫻漸漸成為密不可分的關係。湘海除了當婚攝，還在酒館打工當酒保，但因為夢想成為導演，又自費拍攝史詩電影，所以總是存不到錢，過著拮据的生活。

一杯黃酒下肚譜出展新戀曲
某個夜晚，小嫻發現韓東拈花惹草，遭到背叛的小嫻來到湘海打工的地方喝悶酒，喝醉後湘海怕小嫻被其他客人撿走，無奈小嫻爛醉不醒人事，只好帶她先回自己家。因為那個晚上小嫻在不知情的狀況下吻了湘海，湘海便愛上了小嫻，對小嫻展開追求，小嫻不想接受湘海，還希望湘海不要再出現在自己視線裡。本來以為兩人自此不會有關聯，沒想到因為湘海被房東趕出來，靠朋友的幫忙陰錯陽差住進了小嫻的住處。
