Taking place in the Iron Dimension, where The X-Family was set, the beginning of the drama finds the family's matriarch Xia Xiong (Pauline Lan) trying to go about daily life despite worrying for her missing sons Xia Tian (Jiro Wang) and Xia Yu, as well as ex-husband Ye Si Ren (Na Wei Xun), all fighting in an inter-dimensional war. She opens a private dormitory whose tenants include prideful athletics student Huyan Cang Qiong (SpeXial's Luo Hong Zheng), nursing student Ye Sheng (SpeXial's Huang Wei Jin), dance student Julia (Diana Wang), beautician Chen Wei (SpeXial's Xu Ming Jie) and music teacher Han (Emily Tsai), who was set to marry the missing Xia Tian ten years ago just before he went to war. One day, out of nowhere, Si Ren reappears in the Iron Dimension with no memory of his past. What happened to cause Si Ren to lose his memory? And where are Xia Tian and Xia Yu?
