A tragic tale of romance, revenge, and redemption set in Republic-era China, the captivating period drama begins with young businessman Bai Yiming's (Lu Yi) romantic encounter with a country girl named Yinyin (Jang Na Ra) during one of his lone expeditions in the wild. After a night of passion, he leaves her and goes back to his life.
