Set in the early 20th century, the 1984 TVB drama United We Stand depicts the hilarious romantic hijinks of people who live in a Hong Kong run amok by pirates. Barbara Yung outdoes herself in a superb dual role, portraying the charmingly well-behaved Dao Yun, who becomes the target of the opportunistic Dong Peng Fei (Michael Miu), and the tomboyish Pei Ying, who seeks to win the heart of the dandy Zi Long (Michael Tao).

龍好友董鵬飛(苗僑偉)是一名典型機會主義者，千方百計攀附保，以求從中取利，另方面，飛為博取庭賞識，處處表現自己，又百般討好其獨生女道蘊(翁美玲)。

城寨寨主林二嫂(李香琴)之女佩英(翁美玲分飾)暗戀龍多年，但龍不喜其粗豪作風，對她若即若離，直至龍邂逅蘊，驚為天人，隨即展開追求，對英更加冷淡。機緣巧合下，蘊與英相遇，赫然發現雙方容貌一模一樣。追查後始知兩人為孖生姊妹。惟當英發現蘊乃其情敵，頓起反感，一段錯綜複雜、詼諧惹笑的四角戀情由此展開……

Bad Barbara series Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
I´m a fan of Yung Mei Ling, but I didn´t like this series. It was boring. Don´t buy this product, if you´re not a hardcore Barbara Yung or Michael Miu fan.

If you are yung mei ling's fan, this movie is fun to watch. I love yung mei ling and all her movies since I was a little girl. I wish TVB will also produce Young mei ling's photo albums. I really want to collect some of her pictures!

Barbara played two characters, Great! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Barbara did great performance playing two different characters in this comedy series. The nasty one was really nasty, and the cute one was so cute! Both my husband and I enjoyed this show so much, and we laughed a lot while watching!
I am so happy TVB has recently released many of Barbara's series, and I hope there will be more comming out in 2005!
