July 8, 2012 Received mine..no subs
As promised by YesAsia, this set of DVDs does not contain subtitles. However, this is still worth the buy for all Inspirits. The photo book is big, and I mean bigger than regular 8x10 paper. Its great to see the boys in this behind-the-scenes video. Although I have to say that I did expect more and I wish wollim had invested more time in producing the DVDs with English subtitles instead of rushing the release.

June 29, 2012 Awesome debut, but...
Special Edition: 2/5
The songs on this album is very awesome for a debut mini-album. However, this review is simply focused on the "special limited" edition CD instead of the songs. I would highly NOT recommend purchasing the limited edition. There is really no difference in the content of this edition compared to the regular edition. The only difference is the box. The so-called "Swarovski crystals" are just the tiny ones on the exterior of the album box. If you zoomed in on the preview of the album artwork provided by YesAsia, you can see the six Swarovski crystals. I honestly do not see why I had to pay so much more just for those tiny crystals. I mean, it is recommended if you are an obsessed fan and just want both editions but otherwise, if you are debating, ignore this edition and just get the regular edition, which still comes with 2 folded posters and a photo booklet.

Hey guys, I saw some questions regarding this edition of the release. Anyway, this is the official KBS US Version of the FULL drama. His version is cheaper because of its publisher. KBS America is now teamed up with Tai Seng Video US which is kind of Chinese (Hong Kong or China)-based compared to dramas released by SBS and MBC which are released through YA Entertainment. YA releases usually have a bit better quality and extra contents like BTS contents, photobooks, etc.
As for the region code, it's coded 9 meaning region-free, so it's playable on all region DVD players. Anyway, if you want more details as to what's the difference between Tai Seng released dramas and YA, you can read my review for "God of Study/Master of Study."
Hope this helps!

May 9, 2011 KBS American ended contract w/ YA Ent?
This review is about this product, not the drama itself, seeing as I haven't finished watching it. Anyway, KBS' DVD distribution in America has been YA Entertainment's responsibility for the past years as far as I know and I love the quality of their DVDs and the English subtitles they provide. YA Entertainment also provided special contents such as behind-the-scenes, blooper reels, cast interviews, etc. as a part of their DVD, making the DVD worth-buying ('cause believe or not, I bet you that 90% of us English-speaker, K-Drama-watchers watch the dramas online most of the time) for fans of the dramas.
However, with this years' two KBS English-version releases (God of Study and Kim Tak Goo) it seems like the rights to distribute KBS drama has transfer to Tai Seng Video. I see a lot of pros and cons as to this transferring of rights, so let's break it down.
-More affordable DVDS
-Chinese audios for Chinese speakers/listeners
-English AND Chinese subtitles
-Pretty good video quality
-No extra contents!!! (Including video contents & photobooks, etc.)
-Poorer English subtitles (even compare to fan-subs)
-Small transparent watermark flying across the screen once in a while
I guess the best good thing about this is the price since usually YA Ent.'s releases are at least $55+ for new releases while God Of Study is just $25 (upcoming MBS Playful Kiss is $79.99). I am very disappointed that they didn't include extra contents in the DVDs 'cause that's mainly why I buy the DVDs. I usually have watched the dramas online first and would buy it if I love it so much for the bonus content and collecting purposes (except for GoS, since it was so cheap and I wanted to test the quality of the DVD so I can decide whether or not I am gonna get Kim Tak Goo).
Bottom line is that I would rather spend a little bit more money for the extra contents because usually, what's the point of buying a drama you already watched? I hope KBS would renew their contract with YA Entertainment because they have BETTER video quality, no watermarks, better subtitles, and most importantly, extra contents!

September 10, 2010 Very cool!
This set of earrings comes in both black and silver. The barbell earrings are very cool once you put it on. I put it on the way that BoA had on but you can also flip it to have the balls in the front. It is sort of difficult to put it on at first and it really depends on the distance between your first piercing and the second. However, once you get the hang of it, it will eventually work! I recommend this style to anyone, not just BoA fans.

I love the MIROTIC photoshoot ever since 2008 and since the Version B phone straps took the sexiest pictures from the shoot, this is a must-buy! The phone strap has Yunho's picture in the front and a picture of the flying scarf thing on the back. It is a good size and adds in some coolness to my cell phone. Overall, the version B phone straps is a must-buy for all TVXQ fans.

Teen Top 1st Single Album - Come Into The World1 people found this review helpful
July 14, 2010 Pleasantly surprised.
I was skeptical of this group when it was announced that a 6-member boy group is about to debut under the name of "TEEN POP." I guess my skepticism came from the name of the group at first and since I haven't been impressed with many groups that debuted this year, I thought this group would sound like the typical K-Pop groups that are circulating at the moment so I didn't bothering listening to their song when they were available for preview. However, last week, they made their debut stage on MuCore and I was surprised! I can see clearly that this group practiced really hard with their choreography because their dance was in-sync and look very professional, not just a rookie group. However, performance doesn't really have to do with this single so the thing that really got me addicted is how good this song is: it is upbeat and somewhat different. The biggest difference between TEEN POP and other K-Pop group is that only one person sings the entire song and that main vocalist have a semi-deep voice that is just so good and fits their debut song, "Clap" so well. Nowadays, idol group members get to sing at least one part but not this (which might be unfair to some members). Totally getting this single when it becomes available!
Best Selection 2010 (Jacket A)(2CD+DVD+Poster)(Japan Version)(5)Our Price: US$56.252 people found this review helpful
February 20, 2010 Great way to start!
BEST SELECTION 2010 is a great way for starters if you just recently started to listen to TVXQ or have been listening to their Korean songs but not their Japanese ones. CD1 of this version contains, honestly, the best songs that they ever sung (but still missing a lot, since 90% of their J-Pop songs are good in one way or another). For long-time fans, this album is a must-have because, well, we gotta support the boys and let them know that we learn them. Also, this version comes with CD2, which includes 3 new songs and all of them beautifully sung. Also, the DVD combines all the performances they did in their past live concerts so for people who don't have their concert DVDs, the DVD in this album will show you how good of a show the boys can put up.
Now about the package. Version A doesn't come with that big of a photobook/lyrics book. The photos that came with the album are colleges of each member with their respective page. First press comes with a jacket-sized card (I got Yunho!). Overall, highly recommended for starters and avid TVXQ fans! This is a must-have for all collectors!

February 15, 2010 Somewhat addictive but not the best
Since I am neither a SNSD fan or a hater, I will give this album an objective review. SNSD reviews have been really biased towards either "loving this album!" to "I hate this album!" but not entirely focusing on the music but just SNSD as a whole. However, this will be different.
I don't really know the reason why I bought this album, I guess I needed the $13 to qualify for free shipping, plus, I really did enjoy "Gee" as that is the song that got me to listen to SNSD on and off. "Genie" was a pretty good follow-up song to "Gee," but in my opinion, not as good as "Gee." Then I guess SM saw the success of SNSD by using the cute concept, they proceed with "Oh!" which, I would rank this #3 out of the last three promo songs from the group. However, comparing the three songs to the rest of the songs in Girls' Generation's second album, the only songs that stood out to me was "Star Star Star" (maybe that's the reason that's their second promo song from the album). The rest of the song did not show any growth from their first album, not that SNSD is to blame, more like the songwriters who decided to have SNSD sing all "cutesy" songs. It is not just one cutesy song, but almost 90% of the songs on this album is the cheerleader type of cutesy songs. I wouldn't consider "Gee" that much of a cutesy song because it did sound unique and "Genie" was definitely not a cute song, more like a "sexy concept" song. Anyway, the main problem I have with this album is the lack of difference between the songs. The songwriters did not let the girls sing a variety of different songs; it's all about the happy would-be cheerful songs (well, most of the faster songs, that is). The songs didn't allow the girls to show their vocals skills.
Although I have to agree that songs like "Oh!" and "Show Show Show" are addictive, taking the album as a whole, this is not SNSD's best work. I hope the songwriters would write a variety of different songs for their next comeback.
Break Out! (Japan Version)3 people found this review helpful
January 27, 2010 "We keep the faith eternally"
TOHOSHINKI's highly anticipated 29th Japanese single is finally in my hands! Instead of praising how good the title track, "BREAK OUT!" is, as I am sure all of us have heard, I am going to focus on the rest of the songs on the single. However, let me mention that "BREAK OUT!" at least did not appeal to me as "Stand by U" when I first heard it through the PV (I didn't want to spoil myself) but after listening to the CD, I have to say that "BREAK OUT" is a great "comeback" for the boys.
"XIAHTIC" was heard in "The Secret Code" concert as well as TVXQ's 3rd Asia Tour: MIROTIC. It is a song that is entirely composed and written by Junsu and of course, sung by Junsu. This Japanese version of the song had its lyrics written by HUB, THSK's long-time J-Pop composer. I have to say that XIAHTIC is an excellent and powerful track; it balances the whole single out so that the entire single is worth the buy.
"BREAK OUT! -New Jack Swing Mix-" is one of the few remixes that sound just as good as the original mix. The beats are completely different than the original and it somehow reminds me of the music back in '80s such as the opening song for "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," but only better and more modern. I usually skip the remixes on THSK's singles because they are simply not as good as the original (i.e. Survivor's "Seven Seas Premium" remix) but this is completely different and totally worth the listen as much as the other two tracks on the single.
Overall, I think TOHOSHINKI returned with a powerful single. Let's keep the faith and keep them in the 50,000+ mark! Join the project and purchase their single so that they will break the 50,000 mark on the Oricon charts!
CNBLUE 1st Mini Album - Bluetory3 people found this review helpful
January 26, 2010 The real review
Forget all the "hot" stuff about this band because the thing that matter the most about them is their music; not just any music, but real music. The Korean music scene has been dominated by the ever-popular electrically modified vocals in idol groups. However, with C.N.BLUE's music, you won't be able to find those in their new album. Everything about their music is purely music. The only instruments involve in this mini-album are vocals (without the modification), guitars, bass, and drums. I agree that if you compare C.N.BLUE to American indie bands, you would find similar sounds, but CNB's music is completely different than the current Korean wave music. Even though they are compared to label mate F.T Island, C.N.BLUE's music is very different from FTIs. For one thing, their music can be defined as alternative rock while FTI is more pop/rock with a bit of strings.
Now, let's move on to the songs. I really, really, love the songs. "Now or Never" and "Y, Why..." were already my favorite CNB songs from their past Japan-released mini-albums and I have to say that the Korean version of the songs sound just as good because Korean is a language that goes into your ear very smoothly. Yonghwa and Jonghyun provided excellent vocals for their Korean versions of "Now or Never," "Y, Why...," "Love Revolution," and "Teardrops in the Rain." "I am a Loner" is, of course, a upbeat rock number that gets stuck in your head (sad, sad, sad tonight...). All the songs on the album is already the reason to buy this album to support this talented band.
However, the only thing that I was not-too-happy about this album was the fact that it only had one new songs. Although the Korean versions of their old songs does sound very appealing and new, I wish they made more songs.
Anyway, the photo jacket pictures that came along with the album is worth the price. All of them look very ::ahem:: hot. And I am glad that the cardboard CD case for this album is not as big as all the F.T Island CDs are. Anyway, highly recommend this!

January 9, 2010 YES!
I have been checking back and forth everyday for the past weeks to see if C.N.BLUE's Korean debut mini-album is available to pre-order or not! This mini-album is very promising. For those of you who have their last two indie mini-albums, I am sure you have already heard songs like, "Now or Never," "Y, Why..." (written by vocalist Yong Hwa originally), and "Love Revolution," so I am sure they are just the Korean versions of the same song that were originally sung in English. Although I wish they came out with more than two new songs, I am pre-ordering this right away!

December 18, 2009 I LOVE IT
I did not regret spending $20 on this CD because it was totally worth it. I have been listening to this CD over and over again since it arrived in the mail. C.N.BLUE carries a more indie-rock sound than their label mate F.T Island (that's probably 'cause they are indie). The vocalists of this band, mainly Yong Hwa and then Jong Hyun has a clearer voice than HongKi has and somehow I really love their voice because it fits the rock music more. I always had problems with getting into FTI's music because it always carry a pop-rock with classical instrument sort of music, but CNB is all about electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, and drums; just your typical indie band. And since their entire mini-album, except for track 1, are filled with English lyrics and somehow the music really reminds me of American/British indie bands so it is something new in the Asian scene.
Now, let's review song by songs. First track, "voice" is entirely in Japanese and it sounds a lot like a J-Rock song and it kind of remind me of music I would probably hear in animes. "Wanna Be Like U" got stuck in my head for days straight and I kept singing the chorus over and over again (heh, that's probably because it's in English and I can totally sing it) because it is one of those songs that can get in your head. The lyrics and melody is catchy. "Never too late" was an 4.5/5 track to me; very similar to other songs you would hear from any American bands. "Y, Why" is my favorite track because the ENGLISH lyrics and music is written by Yong Hwa! Not just that it is written by him, the music actually sounds great and the lyrics makes more sense than a Avril Lavigne song. "One of a kind" sounds like an ending song to me, equally good but I somehow didn't like it as much as the other songs.
I am very surprised by this album. Their English pronunciation is perfect, unlike a lot of other Asian singers that "try" to sing English. They can really pass if they debut in the US as an indie group, they definitely have a lot of talent.
Highly recommend this album to all music-lovers! Get this before it is out-of-stock. I regret that I didn't get their first mini-album when they were still in stock (it was on my wish list for months). Anybody know where you can still buy it? Anyway, buy this album because it's definitely worth the money!
You're Beautiful - Mini Pig Rabbit DollDecember 18, 2009 Awesome! Something I can Afford =]
I have been wanting to buy the Pig Rabbit doll ever since it was available for purchase but due to the price, I wasn't able to get it. However, with this, I can get this immediately! This is just as cute as the full-size but costs 3 times less than the full-size plush. I guess I will get this while I will save up for the full-size doll!

December 11, 2009 Highly recommended!
The "You're Beautiful Photo Comic Book" was actually the book that I didn't want to get at first due to the previews showing that the comic is all in Korean. However, there was a double-deal thing going on so I ended buying both this book and the "Photobook" (see my other review). To my surprise, the comic book is such a better book than the "novel/photobook," because for one thing, it is filled with pictures! Yes, there are bubbles where MiNam, TaeKyung, Shin Woo, Jeremy, etc. will be talking in and you would be wondering what the heck they are talking about (if you don't understand Korean) but at least you still get to stare at them from page 1 to 187! These are full-colored images on every page which is so much worth it than the novel.
I guess the down-side to this comic book is that it contains only pictures from the drama and not behind-the-scenes images. Oh, and also the fact that it is written only in Korean. However, I highly recommend this to all YB fans because this is just a beautiful image-book!

December 11, 2009 Oh dear...
I received my copy of the "You're Beautiful 'Photobook' Vol. 1" today and boy oh boy, I guess YesAsia made a mistake on the title when I ordered it because this is NOT A PHOTOBOOK. This is a novel. In Korean. I guess it tells the same story that the drama told in complete Korean sentences but since I do not understand Korean, this book is pretty useless to me. The novel is filled with texts (no pictures except for pig-rabbit icons at the top of each chapter) from page 1 to 247. Then from then on, comes the good part. At the end of the novel, it contains full-colored images from the drama, including behind-the-scenes photos. Although I have to say that there are only EIGHT pages that are filled with pictures, front-back (total of 16 pages).
The pictures are really, really nice, especially since Jang Geun Suk is so attractive and on fire but I don't think this book is worth $24.99 for us English-speakers/readers. If you are a fanatic, then yeah, go for it. If you can read in Korean, then yes, go for it too!
Seeing that this is a novel, I am not sure if I will be getting volume 2, which volume 1 shows a picture preview of, at the end of the book.

I don't think this CD should be rated down just because of 3 songs. Yes, it is a bit expensive for only three songs but note that this is a SINGLE. Singles usually come with ONE song and then with instrumentals. However, this single came with THREE songs and not just any songs, but GREAT songs. I know it is a bit expensive when you are on a tight budget, but this is worth the buy when you guys are not tight on the money. This is a great single that come with a beautiful photobook so if you are a fan, this is a must-have regardless of the price. =]
By the way, when I buy stuff, I look at the number of stars and I bet that a lot of people do the same, so people might be confused about the quality of the single instead of other reasons.

So I found out about this photobook and the comic book on All K-Pop and has been wondering when it will be released...and here it is! I don't understand Korean so I will definitely get the photobook seeing that it is just pictures, right? The comic book it's still a great add to my collection but I will definitely get this one!
Looks like there's going be stills from the drama as well as behind-the-scenes photographs, which will be fun to look at. We can see the actors being their own goofy self!
Wait for my other review after I get my hands on these babies. =]
