作者簡介：
亦舒，原名倪亦舒，1946年生於上海，祖籍浙江鎮海，兩歲來港定居，曾就讀嘉道理小學、北角官小，中學畢業於何東女子職業中學，十五歲開始寫稿，第一篇小說刊登在《西點》，十七歲開始替明報寫稿，當時仍然是一位中學生。中學畢業後，曾在《明報》任職記者及擔任電影雜誌採訪記者和編輯。1973年，亦舒赴英國修讀酒店食物管理課程，三年後學成回港，任職富麗華酒店公關部，後進入政府新聞處擔任新聞官，做了七年便退下，當全職作家及家庭主婦，並移居加拿大。

Good...but
| Simply by the name of the book, I was expecting another story possibly about a woman who is looking for love with money because the title means American dollar. But the story is about how a woman going through life changes and relationships and helped by a little dog she recused. From this relationship she started to evaluate her own life and became more positive in her outlook. I love animals therefore I found certain parts of the story quite moving and even shed a few tears. I will not mention the ending as not spoil other readers’ enjoyment but I have to say that the story ended quite abruptly as if the author decided she has written all she has to write about and the woman. She does have moments of hit and miss with her books. |
