YesAsia 2013 Bestsellers - Korean Music

EXO sold over a million albums in 2013, so it comes as no surprise that they topped our album bestsellers as well. We only counted the Korean-language version albums for this chart – Chinese-language versions are under Chinese music – but that was more than enough to put XOXO at #1, Miracles in December at #7 and EXO as the top-selling artist of the year. Their SM labelmates took four more spots in the top ten albums. SHINee notably had three releases on the album and DVD charts, making them the second highest-selling artist, while B.A.P, CNBLUE and f(x) broke into top ten albums for the first time.
Kim Jae Joong had the highest-selling solo album of the year, followed by G-Dragon whose Big Bang dominated the DVD chart. Girls' Generation still reigns as the top-selling girl group and the only female artist in the overall top ten artists (third after SHINee). Infinite and B.A.P continued to climb the ranks following 2012's strong showing, but 2013 also saw some new names – VIXX, Nine Muses, Sistar and Girl's Day – rising to top-selling artists for the first time.
The below rankings are based on K-pop sales on YesAsia.com from January 1 to December 31, 2013. Sales of all editions (including repackages) and versions (Korea, Taiwan, Japan, etc.) of the same album/concert are summed up to determine the total sales. Only Korean-language releases are included here; check the C-pop and J-pop bestsellers for Chinese and Japanese releases by Korean artists.
