The below rankings are based on sales of movie, music and TV releases on YesAsia.com from January 1 to June 30, 2014. Sales of all editions and versions of the same title are summed up to determine the total sales and ranking of each title.

BEST-SELLING C-POP RELEASES

EXO continues to dominate the C-pop charts in the first half of 2014, filling a whopping four spots in the top ten bestsellers list with their latest album Overdose leading the pack. Coming in at number two is EXO's senior labelmate Super Junior M with Swing. Canto-pop veterans also have a strong showing with Sandy Lam's album Re: Workz slotting right after the SM youngsters, followed by fellow diva Sammi Cheng. Longtime mainstays Alan Tam, Hacken Lee, Priscilla Chan and Denise Ho round out the top ten.

BEST-SELLING J-POP RELEASES

Super Junior once again shows their appeal as Dong Hae and Eun Hyuk's Japanese album Ride Me – the only Super Junior-related Japanese CD release this year so far – topped our J-pop bestseller list for the first half of 2014. However, Arashi is the overall winner, occupying four out of ten spots on the chart. Like last year, the girls' side is represented by AKB48 and T-ara, with Girls' Generation joining in at eighth place.

BEST-SELLING K-POP RELEASES

EXO picked up where they left off last year with their album Overdose narrowly edging out Girls' Generation's Mr. Mr. for first place. EXO's First Box is also the only video release to make the K-pop bestsellers shortlist. B.A.P, 2NE1, TVXQ and CNBLUE are still top-selling favorites, but there are some hot new contenders leaping into the big leagues – GOT7 grabbed third place with their debut album, and BTS and Topp Dogg have broken into the top ten.

BEST-SELLING MOVIES

Chinese crime actioners and costume epics remain the top draw for movie fans, with the two storms – White Storm and Firestorm – leading the way. Action superstar Donnie Yen still rules with two movies in the top ten, but it's Juno Mak's throwback horror Rigor Mortis that stands out for ranking high despite having no big names in the cast. Last year's top seller, Wong Kar Wai's The Grandmaster, also hangs strong in fifth place. Kim Soo Hyun spy actioner Secretly, Greatly and big-budget animation Space Pirate Captain Harlock round out the list as the top-selling Korean and Japanese titles.

BEST-SELLING TV DRAMAS

As expected, K-Drama sensation You Who Came From the Stars tops television bestsellers by a mile. The popularity of Kim Soo Hyun also bolstered his 2012 period series The Moon That Embraces the Sun back onto the charts. Other talked-about Korean dramas like The Heirs and Master's Sun occupy the remaining top seven spots, while William Feng and Ariel Lin's hit period idol drama Lanling Wang checks in at eighth as the top-selling Chinese series.
