CHINESE TV BESTSELLERS

Just like in 2020, Taiwan's HIStory BL series nabbed three spots in our top TV bestsellers, with the 2019 release HIStory 3: Trapped reclaiming the #1 position. The 2021 Taiwan BL series hit We Best Love starring Sam Lin and YU settled for second place, while Be Loved in House: I Do came in ninth. TVB classic Legend Of the Condor Heroes and the long-charting Nirvana in Fire and Addicted were also in the top ten, along with the Chinese remake of Your Home is My Business.

KOREAN TV BESTSELLERS

Goblin, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim? and Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo were the top three Korean dramas for the third consecutive year, and Goblin and Scarlet Heart Ryeo have actually charted in the top ten for five straight years already. Encounter and She Was Pretty also remained in the top ten. The romance Where Stars Land starring Lee Je Hoon and Chae Soo Bin came in fourth, while medical series Doctor Romantic 2 and romance Find Me in Your Memory, two of the few Korean dramas to get English-subtitled video releases in recent years, shared seventh place.

JAPANESE TV BESTSELLERS

The fantasy BL romance Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! starring Akaso Eiji and Machida Keita readily came in first among Japanese dramas and second overall. The only other new title in the top ten was the 2021 We Married as a Job! Ganbare Jinrui! Shinshu Special with reel-to-real couple Aragaki Yui and Hoshino Gen. The Pornographer series claimed two spots, and familiar favorites like CxDxG no Arashi!, Gintama: Mitsuba Hen and Itazura na Kiss - Love in Tokyo stuck around for yet another year.

THAI TV BESTSELLERS

Mew and Gulf stayed on top with TharnType 2 taking over the #1 spot from TharnType as the best-selling Thai drama of 2021. The 2gether series starring Bright and Win also grabbed two spots in the top five, while A Tale of Thousand Stars with Earth and Mix came in third. Teen suspense series The Gifted and other BL hits like Fish Upon the Sky and SOTUS round out the top ten.
