The first ever "epic comedy" with a price tag of NT$70 million, the film turns Taiwan cuisine into a feast for moviegoers and opens up a brand new world for Taiwan comedies. Tony Yang, Kimi Hsia, Lin Mei Shiu, Wu Nien Jen and Ke Yi Zheng serve up one bowl of laughter after another in this summer mega-hit dealing with traditional values, local culinary heritage and love.

Twenty years ago, the cuisines of northern, central and southern Taiwan were dominated by three legendary chefs: Master Silly Mortal (Wu Nien Jen), Master Ghost Head (Xi Xiang) and Master God Fly Spirit (Ke Yi Zheng). As the banquet tradition dies down, Taiwan cuisine begins to see its plight. Eager to pass on the heritage, Master God Fly Spirit hopes to teach his life knowledge in the art of cooking to his only daughter Hsiao Wan (Kimi Hsia) – but her biggest dream is to be a star and the family tradition is seemingly lost after he passes away. Hsiao Wan impulsively promises to organize a banquet for a pair of newlyweds in their golden years who yearn for the taste of traditional dishes. To fulfill her promise, she teams up with a "gourmet doctor" (Tony Yang) who helps her bring back plates and plates of precious long-lost dishes.
