YesAsia 2017 Bestsellers - Korean Music

Global sensation BTS reigned over K-pop in 2017 with the album chart-topper Love Yourself 'Her' and You Never Walk Alone. The Bangtan boys effortlessly took our Best-selling Artist title with impressive sales of albums as well as video releases that dominated the top five spots on the DVD/Blu-ray chart. Twice came out on top among female artists and broke into top ten albums for the second straight year.

EXO, the second biggest-selling artist of 2017, ranked second on the album chart with their fourth album The War, and has two releases in the top ten DVD/Blu-ray list. Labelmates Girls' Generation and Super Junior re-entered the album chart with the tenth anniversary record Holiday Night and eighth album Play, respectively. SNSD leader Tae Yeon was also the only soloist in the top ten albums and ranked fourth among female artists.

Wanna One debuted on the album chart at #4 and became one of the highest-selling artists of 2017. Newcomers Pristin and Dreamcatcher also found their way into the top ten artists rankings. Other popular groups like Big Bang, GOT7, B.A.P, VIXX, Monsta X, Red Velvet and Seventeen guarded their spots on the best-selling artists chart.

The below rankings are based on Korean music sales on YesAsia.com from January 1 to December 31, 2017. Only Korean-language releases are included; check the C-pop and J-pop bestsellers for Chinese and Japanese releases by Korean artists.
