The life and times of Chinese folk hero Fok Yuen Gap (Huo Yuan Jia) have been brought to screen many times, most notably by Jet Li in Fearless. The third installment in ATV's Fok Yuen Gap series after Legendary Fok and The Fist, the 1984 drama The Legend Continues adds a new page to Fok's legacy with the rousing, action-filled story of his son who is destined to follow in his footsteps. Action star Chin Siu Ho passes with fighting colors as the brooding young hero, alongside a cast that includes Tsui Siu Ming, Eddy Ko, Cheng Pei Pei, David Lau, and Candy Man.

Unable to live up to his father's larger-than-life legacy, Fok Dung Kok (Chin Siu Ho) maintains a low profile and keeps his identity a secret. His friend, hot-blooded youth Chan Gong Jit (David Lau), wants him to step out and help promote martial arts and national self-strengthening, but Dung Kok repeatedly turns him down for fear of failing the family name. Inspired by various encounters with martial arts masters and incensed by the injustices of the time, Dung Kok slowly grows as a martial arts journeyman and emerges as a new leader and hero for China's patriotic movement.
