STORY OF A DISCHARGED PRISONER Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
It is so good to see this legendary movie at last even in a non-subtitled version. We need to see more Lung Kong movies from this era. Shot in a very good film noir style using locations from 1967 Hong Kong with visual references to the French New Wave, the film is a classic of Ho ng Kong Cinema and needs to be subtitled for a wider audience. The performances were superb and I'm glad to see this copy even with the sound deterioration rather than flying to Hong Kong and seeing the copy in the Hong Kong Film Archives. This is a very good film that needed release after so many years and I hope that others may follow.

Good Movie, But Bad Sound Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
This is a well directed movie by Lung Kong - very sophisticated for a Cantonese movie made in 1967. Unfortunately, the sound quality is not too good, but I would still recommend it.
