In a quiet coastal town, a bored 14-year-old boy (Travis Hu) meets a heartbroken girl (Kira Skelly). He learns about her past secret relationship with the soccer coach (Harry Chang). The boy suggests blackmailing the coach for money so that they can leave town. Their naïve plan doesn't get them anywhere, but the desire to leave can't be quelled. To the boy, leaving is the only salvation. The boy and the girl decide to earn money in other ways that draw them into an escalating spiral of crime and desperation.
Following two troubled teens in a cold world, A Boy and a Girl acutely depicts the turbulent emotions and devastating mistakes of youth. Directed by Hsu Li Da, the Taiwan film starring teenaged newcomers Travis Hu and Kira Skelly was screened at the Busan International Film Festival.

在一個「什麼都沒有」的濱海小鎮裡，百無聊賴的少年遇見了失戀的少女。少年得知了少女過往與足球教練戀愛的祕密，嚮往離開小鎮的他便向少女提議勒索教練，換得足以離開的金錢。這個天真的計畫無法從大人手中拿到分毫。然而離開的念頭一動，就再也無法喊停。傷心的少女向少年提議，讓她用最原始的本能賺錢，而少年負責其他事情。小鎮的周邊總是不缺寂寞無聊的男性，這「生意」很快就發展起來。隨著時間過去，有錢的生活卻讓「離開」這個目標逐漸變得模糊；與此同時，他們的生意被轄區的警察盯上，反遭控制與勒索。一夕之間，「離開」的目標又清晰了起來。絕望的少年決定鋌而走險，開始販毒，卻不知道這一切的終點，是背叛。
