The Hong Sisters (Master's Sun) transplant the fantasy tale of the Chinese classic Journey to the West to present-day Seoul in the tvN drama A Korean Odyssey. After his military discharge in October 2017, Lee Seung Gi returns as the Monkey King in the fantasy romcom series. He collaborates with Cha Seung Won again three years after You're All Surrounded. My Husband Got A Family star Oh Yeon Seo, Jang Gwang from Silenced and FTIsland's Lee Hong Ki (You're Beautiful) also take key roles in A Korean Odyssey.

The powerful and mischievous Monkey King, Son Oh Gong (Lee Seung Gi), was kept under the Five Elements Mountain for 500 years. Young Seon Mi (Kal So Won) is ostracized by her classmates due to her ghost-seeing ability. She comes across Woo Ma Wang (Cha Seung Won), who asks her to steal a magical fan from a house that can only be seen by humans. In the house, she meets Son Oh Gong who promises to protect her if she can help him escape. After releasing Son Oh Gong, Seon Mi is punished and becomes the target of demons that are attracted to her blood. Now a real estate CEO reselling haunted houses, Seon Mi (Oh Yeon Seo) re-encounters Son Oh Gong, only to discover that he is one of her hunters.

Product Information

Son Oh-gong (Monkey King) was once a powerful god but due to his arrogance, he is banished to the human world with his power sealed. Only finding the monk (Jin Sun-mi), and drinking her fresh blood will allow Son Oh-gong to regain his power back. When Son Oh-gong finally encounters Jin Sun-mi, instead of reacquiring his power, he finds himself falling deeply in love with her due to a spell.
