Teaming up again nine years after the TVB drama You're Hired, Dayo Wong and Charmaine Sheh feud and fight crime as a former spy and a security chief who share a complicated past. Filled with Wong's signature style of wordy, witty comedy, Agent Mr. Chan marks the directorial debut of Jeff Cheung, who was Johnnie To's assistant director for many years on films like Three, Life Without Principle and Drug War. The film features cameos by a slew of celebs, including Sammi Cheng, Miriam Yeung, Michael Hui, Sandra Ng, Julian Cheung, Alan Tam, Cheung Tat Ming, Ronald Cheng, Ada Choi, Lawrence Cheng, Lam Suet, Jim Chim, Lo Hoi Pang, Louis Cheung, Teresa Carpio, Grasshopper, Michael Wong and AV actress Hatano Yui.

Mr. Chan (Dayo Wong) was once a top secret agent, but his glamorous days of international espionage came to an abrupt end due to a partner's mistake. During his last mission, he wooed and deceived police officer Heung (Charmaine Sheh), and she is not about to forgive him for the heartbreak and humiliation. Over the next 20 years, Heung rises to the top ranks of the security bureau and uses her power to make life miserable for Chan, who becomes a sloppy, aimless shadow of his former self. Heung and the police suddenly fall under intense media scrutiny because of a strange case involving celebrities and public figures behaving erratically for unknown reasons. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Chan is called back into action to get to the bottom of the kooky mystery!
