Donnie Yen turns into an inspirational teacher in the Hong Kong drama Big Brother! Directed by Kam Ka Wai (Colour of the Game) and co-produced by Donnie himself, the film sees the action star in the unlikely role of a high school teacher for troubled teens. Shining a light on marginalized youth, Big Brother sincerely touches on many social problems that affect young people including family abuse, poverty and discrimination. At the same time, the film leaves plenty of room for Donnie to break out some action and take down bad guys.

After going through many ups and downs in his life, including a stint in the U.S. army, Henry Chen (Donnie Yen) returns to his struggling alma mater for a brand new challenge: high school teacher. Calling upon his own experiences, Henry hopes to guide his troubled and disadvantaged students towards a brighter future. Using unconventional teaching methods, he gradually gets through to the motley class of rebellious and academically disinclined teens and helps them resolve different issues. Just when it seems like the classroom will finally be at peace, new threats arise that endanger the school and his pupils.
