TVB's 2013 hit Brother's Keeper chronicled the big events and changes in Macau and Hong Kong in the last 30 years through the experiences of a pair of estranged brothers. Ruco Chan plays older brother Sam, an ambitious police officer whose greed leads to his own downfall, while Edwin Siu is younger brother Wei Shun, a simple-hearted baker who rises from humble beginnings to create a business empire. The epic melodrama continues in the sequel Brother's Keeper II, which is set from 2014 to 2016.

Through hard work and perseverance, Wei Shun (Edwin Siu) and Ying (Kristal Tin) have built their bakery into a name brand with branches throughout Hong Kong and Macau. Their success, however, leads to conflicts with real estate developer Ko (Hugo Ng) who uses dirty tricks to suppress Wei Shun's business. After getting betrayed by a close friend, a weary Wei Shun leaves for Okinawa to clear his mind. There he falls in love with a mysterious girl (Grace Chan) and gets mixed up in a 20-year-old murder case. Meanwhile, Ying's husband Fei (Louis Yuen) starts treating her like a stranger after sustaining a brain injury, and Sam (Ruco Chan) suddenly returns in search of his girlfriend Rachel (Linda Chung).

Overcoming adversity, LAW WAI-SHUN (Edwin Siu) and YIU MAN-Ying (Kristal Tin) successfully develop the business of Lo Son Kei and make it famous in both Hong Kong and Macau. However, their success upsets a junket promoter-turned-land developer, KO TIN-TSAU (Hugo Ng), who keeps suppressing them. WAI-SHUN is even betrayed by his close confidant TSU CHI-LIK (Mat Yeung). Feeling overwhelmed by this chaotic world, WAI-SHUN goes to Okinawa for a getaway, during which he not only falls for a mysterious girl called KO YEE-NA (Grace Chan), but also gets entangled in an unsolved homicide that happened twenty years ago!
