Based on Murakami Haruki's Barn Burning, acclaimed director Lee Chang Dong's psychological mystery drama Burning reflects on how young people struggle and burn out in Korea. Yoo Ah In (Veteran) leads the film along with rookie actress Jeon Jong Seo and The Walking Dead's Steven Yeun, who was named Best Supporting Actor by six awards for his impressive performance. Burning premiered in competition at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival and was among the nine titles shortlisted for the 2019 Best Foreign Language Film Oscar.

While making a delivery, Lee Jong Su (Yoo Ah In) bumps into childhood classmate Shin Hae Mi (Jeon Jong Seo) on the street. The two develop an intimate relationship, and she asks him to look after her cat during her trip to Africa. When Hae Mi returns from her trip, she is accompanied by Ben (Steven Yeun), a rich and enigmatic guy she met on her trip. Ben confides to Jong Su about his odd secret hobby – he burns an abandoned greenhouse every two months. Soon after, Jong Su receives a mysterious call from Hae Mi and then loses touch with her. He begins to suspect that Ben is connected to her disappearance.
