Director Wong Jing and star Jackie Chan bring the popular Japanese manga City Hunter to the big screen - with a few unique Hong Kong Cinema touches. Jackie Chan is Ryu Saeba, a white-suited private eye whose priorities are women, then food, and finally the solving of crimes. Ryu is hired to find a missing heiress (Japanese idol Kumiko Goto), which leads him to a luxury cruise liner that's targeted for takeover by a band of international terrorists! Trapped aboard, Ryu must strike back at the terrorists - if his need for burgers and babes doesn't do him in first!

A distinctly Hong Kong creation, City Hunter is a wild mixture of slapstick comedy, kung-fu action, and colorful, over-the-top weirdness as only Jackie Chan and Wong Jing can deliver. The beautiful Joey Wong (A Chinese Ghost Story) is Ryu Saeba's assistant Kaori, and Chingmy Yau (Naked Killer) is Saeko, a to-die-for sexy female action hero in leather hotpants! Handsome popstar Leon Lai shows up as a suave card-throwing gambler, and international martial arts actors Richard Norton and Gary Daniels appear as the primary targets of Jackie Chan's frequent kicks and punches. 　　City Hunter Jackie's first impulse is to turn down newspaper tycoon Imanura's request to find his daughter Shizuko, the glance at the beautiful girl's photo, however Jackie is on his way.
