Seoul is reduced to rubble overnight by a major earthquake. Everything has collapsed except for the Imperial Palace Apartment. While survivors rush to the apartment complex, residents band together to safeguard their space from outsiders. Under the direction of Young Tak (Lee Byung Hun) who emerges as a leader in the chaos, new rules are put in place at Imperial Palace Apartment, and outsiders are blocked from entering and exiting. As the world goes to hell around them, the residents of Imperial Palace survive in their concrete utopia, but for how much longer can they stay safe and abide by rules?
