Written and directed by Kang Dong Hun (Pray), the Korean horror film Contorted is based on an award-winning novel by writer Jeon Gun Woo. Seo Young Hee (The Wrath) leads the horror thriller which screened at the Busan International Film Festival.
A family moves into a new home in a remote area. From the first night, Myung Hae (Seo Young Hee) begins to suffer from nightmares and hear strange noises. However, her husband (Kim Min Jae) is indifferent to everything. The children also become affected by their parents' conflicts. As Myung Hae's nightmares intensify, she is gradually unable to differentiate illusion from reality. The root of her nightmares lies in the house's secrets.
