Known in recent years for his popular culinary program Chef Nic, Nicholas Tse brings his love of cooking to the silver screen in the delicious comedy Cook Up a Storm. Chef Nic is joined in the kitchen by Korean star Jung Yong Hwa of CNBLUE, who makes his film debut as a rival chef. Directed by Raymond Yip (Phantom of the Theatre), the Lunar New Year film packs in plenty of scrumptious dishes and innovatively shot cooking scenes for celluloid consumption. Award-winning actors Anthony Wong and Ge You, Tiffany Tang (Bounty Hunters) and Happy Camp host Du Haitao also co-star in the crowd-pleasing foodie family film.

Street cook Tin Ci (Nicholas Tse) runs a small Cantonese eatery that always has lines going out into the street. He takes pride in his impeccably prepared yet down-to-earth dishes that cater to the locals. Unwelcome changes soon come to his humble food street, however, with developers moving in. A glitzy new restaurant opens up right across from Tin Ci's shop, and the chef is the Michelin-starred Paul An (Jung Yong Hwa), who especially relocated from France to China in order to create his own brand of artistic fusion cuisine. Butting heads over their conflicting tastes and culinary styles, Tin Ci and Paul both enter a world-famous cooking competition whose final victor will go up against the reigning master chef, Tin Ci's estranged father (Anthony Wong).
