- How can I connect my MP3 / PMP to my computer?
An MP3 player usually comes with a cable to connect it to your computer via your computer's USB or FireWire port. Some MP3 players support wireless transmission of files, but this mode of connection is relatively uncommon.
USB is the most common method of connecting external devices to a computer, and is supported by both PC and Mac. However, the speed of transferring music files via USB may be somewhat slower than FireWire connection, which is primarily supported on Macs.
