Hung Po Hao, who directed the acclaimed Taiwan TV drama Wake Up 2, explores the challenges of aging and elderly care in his debut feature Dad's Suit, which screened at the Golden Horse Film Festival. Chin Mao (Hsiao Hou Tao) has lived alone in his outskirts home ever since his wife passed away. Despite his children's urging, the 80-year-old doesn't want to move to a nursing home in Taipei. However, he has no choice after an accident. Even news of his grandson's imminent marriage can't cheer up Chin Mao. One day, his daughter takes him out to get a tailored suit for the wedding. But for Chin Mao, the suit holds a completely different meaning.
