A prequel to the Ace Attorney series, Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodo Ryunosuke no Boken brings the courtroom battles to the Meiji period. Set in the late 19th century, the game revolves around Phoenix Wright's ancestor Naruhodo Ryunosuke, an aspiring defense attorney who travels to England for his studies and ends up teaming with Sherlock Holmes to solve cases. Like in the Ace Attorney games, players must investigate cases, gather evidence and then present their case in court while cross-examining witnesses and analyzing testimonies to get to the bottom of the mystery. The crime-solving and courtroom adventures continue in Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2: Naruhodo Ryunosuke no Kakugo, which brings fresh new mysteries in the series' tried-and-true formula. While Naruhodo Ryunosuke tackles more murder cases in London with Sherlock Holmes, judicial assistant Mikotoba Susato also takes on defending an accused friend after returning to Japan.
Besides combining all ten cases from both installments into one game, this release makes it easier for the player to select stories or chapters to play. There is a new Story Mode so you can autoplay to advance the text, or simply watch the story unfold like a mystery drama. English version text and voices have also been added! Further explore the world of Naruhodo Ryunosuke through special contents and extra features including art and music galleries, slice-of-life side stories and special videos.
