Nobita goes to space in Doraemon: Nobita's Little Star Wars 2021, a remake of the 1985 film Doraemon: Nobita's Little Star Wars! One day during summer vacation, Nobita picks up a small rocket by chance and finds an alien named Papi that fits in the palm of his hand! It turns out Papi is the leader of a small planet named Pirika in the Milky Way, and he fled to Earth to escape a rebel army. In order to better understand Papi, Nobita and the others shrink themselves using Doraemon's Small Light, and they soon become good friends with Papi. However, the spaceship of the rebel army soon arrives on Earth. The army attacks Nobita and the others to try to capture Papi, who goes off alone to fight so that his new friends won't be harmed. Doraemon, Nobita and the crew set off for Pirika to help Papi.
