In the 1978 Hong Kong martial arts film Eighteen Fatal Strikes, leading man Stephen Tung, who doubles as action choreographer with Yuen Cheong Yan, stars alongside Dean Shek in the Yang Jing Chen film (Yang used to be Chang Cheh's assistant director). Tung and Shek play a pair of bumbling young men who gather and sell herbs for a living. One day they save a Shaolin abbot (Wen Chiang Long) from his pursuers, and while nursing him to health, these nice young lads are taught the most powerful Shaolin kung fu: the 18 Luohan Fists! Soon, the brothers join in the abbot's cause to rebel against the evil Qing oppressor (Sima Long) who happens to be a master of the deadly Eagle's Claw kung fu...
