Donnie Yen turns into an inspirational teacher in the Hong Kong drama Big Brother! Directed by Kam Ka Wai (Colour of the Game) and co-produced by Donnie himself, the film sees the action star in the unlikely role of a high school teacher for troubled teens. Shining a light on marginalized youth, Big Brother sincerely touches on many social problems that affect young people including family abuse, poverty and discrimination. At the same time, the film leaves plenty of room for Donnie to break out some action and take down bad guys.

After going through many ups and downs in his life, including a stint in the U.S. army, Henry Chen (Donnie Yen) returns to his struggling alma mater for a brand new challenge: high school teacher. Calling upon his own experiences, Henry hopes to guide his troubled and disadvantaged students towards a brighter future. Using unconventional teaching methods, he gradually gets through to the motley class of rebellious and academically disinclined teens and helps them resolve different issues. Just when it seems like the classroom will finally be at peace, new threats arise that endanger the school and his pupils.

    Will you buy me?

Love's Whirlpool writer-director Miura Daisuke again explores love, lust, longing and the limits of Japan's R-18 rating in the erotic drama Call Boy. Miura and star Matsuzaka Tori (Funohan) first collaborated in a stage adaptation of Ishida Ira's sexually charged novel Shonen in 2016. Following the play's sold-out run, they bring the sensational story about the emotional and sexual life of a young male prostitute to the silver screen in Call Boy.

Morinaka Ryo (Matsuzaka Tori), a student at a prestigious Tokyo university, is bored with daily life and women. Instead of going to classes, he whiles away his time working at a bar. One day, a high school friend shows up at Ryo's bar with the beautiful Shizuka (Matobu Sei), and she takes issue with his notion that "women are a bore." She challenges Ryo to join Le Club Passion, her exclusive "call club" for women. Accepting the invitation, he begins working as a male prostitute the next day. Though confused and uncertain at first, Ryo gradually unlocks the desires and hearts of the various troubled women who seek his services.

  • Iceman: The Time Traveler (2018) (Blu-ray) (Hong Kong Version) Blu-ray Region A Donnie Yen (Actor) | Wang Bao Qiang (Actor) | Yu Kang (Actor) | Kurata Yasuaki (Actor)
Donnie Yen returns as a time-traveling ancient warrior in Iceman: The Time Traveler, the sequel to 2014's Iceman. The notorious two-part update to the 1989 action hit Iceman Cometh stars Yen as a Ming Dynasty general who wakes up in Hong Kong after spending centuries frozen in ice. Directed by Raymond Yip (Cook Up a Storm), the second installment picks up where the first film left off, and sends the protagonist as well as Simon Yam and Eva Huang back in time to where all the action and trouble started.

During his fight with Sao (Wang Baoqiang), He Ying (Donnie Yen) falls into the sea and disappears. Meanwhile, Yuanlong (Simon Yam) rises to the head of the police force and uses all his resources to track down He Ying. The two head to Beijing together to find the Golden Wheel of Time, which would allow He Ying to return to the Ming Dynasty and save his village. The power-hungry Yuanlong, however, actually wants to take over the Ming court. Using May (Eva Huang) as hostage, he forces He Ying to activate the Wheel and send them back in time. While Yuanlong enacts his nefarious plans, He Ying traverses through time and races to rewrite history.
