Due to a sudden series of strange homicide cases, Po and Kei are forced to work together to investigate one complicated mystery after another.   Years after the 1985 classic drama The Legend of Lady Chung starring Do-Do Cheng, TVB produces a comedic take on the folk legend of Zhong Wuyen in Queens of Diamonds and Hearts! The station's popular actor Roger Kwok (Square Pegs) leads the cast as the inept king torn between two queens: one ugly but wise, the other beautiful but calculating, played respectively by gorgeous actresses Fala Chen (No Regrets) and Sharon Chan (Ghetto Justice). The costume comedy also features funnyman Louis Yuen, Ben Wong, Koni Lui, Raymond Cho, Kitty Yuen, Oscar Leung, Bella Lam, and Yoyo Chan. It all begins when the King Xuan of Qi (Roger Kwok) goes into the deep mountains to solicit the service of reputed martial artist and strategist Zhong Wuyen (Fala Chen), promising her anything if she would help him revive the state of Qi. In return for her accomplishment, Wuyen requests to be crowned queen! This gives King Xuan a major headache, as he has also promised the same to the peerless beauty Xia Yingchun (Sharon Chan). The King's advisor Yan Ying (Louis Yuen) suggests making Wuyen the Queen of East Palace and Yingchun the Queen of West Palace, but that only serves to escalate the conflict in the royal harem. Hilarity of disastrous proportions ensues when a rare astronomical phenomenon results in their souls being swapped!
