    Nominated for the Golden Palm at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, Hong Sang Soo's romantic feature The Day After tells another mordant story of love and infidelity. Following On The Beach at Night Alone, the indie auteur again works with muse Kim Min Hee and Kwon Hae Hyo for the B&W relationship drama. Hong Sang Soo won Best Director at the 5th Wildflower Film Awards Korea for The Day After and Kwon Hae Hyo was named Best Actor at the 18th Busan Film Critics Awards.

    Married book publisher Bong Won (Kwon Hae Hyo) carries on an affair with his assistant Chang Sook (Kim Sae Byuk, The Whistleblower). The romantic entanglement ends after the departure of Chang Sook, which leaves Bong Won in melancholy. Meanwhile, Bong Won's wife Hae Joo (Jo Yoon Hee, The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop) coincidentally discovers the infidelity when she finds his love letters at home. She abruptly runs into Ah Reum (Kim Min Hee), the new assistant who is on her first day of work, and mistakes her as the other woman.

    A 16-year-old son suddenly comes into Lim Soo Jung's life in Mothers!     Hyo Jin (Lim Soo Jung) lost her husband to an accident two years ago. After her loss, she lives with her best friend Mi Ran (Lee Sang Hee) and is stuck in depression every day. Her husband had a teenage son, Jong Wook (Yoon Chan Young), from a prior marriage whom Hyo Jin had only seen once when he was little. Despite opposition from her friends and family, Hyo Jin decides to live with Jong Wook and begin her journey as a young mom.
