    A vicious Money Flower blooms in MBC's high-rating drama about people who are consumed by greed and power. Jang Seung Jo (Teacher Oh Soon Nam), who took the Excellence Award, co-stars as a wealthy playboy. Directed by Kim Hee Won (Golden Pouch) and written by Lee Myung Hee (Jang Yeong Sil), the revenge melodrama also features veteran Lee Soon Jae (That's the Way It Is) and newcomer Han So Hee (Reunited Worlds).

    Lawyer Kang Pil Joo (Jang Hyuk) is the illegitimate son of late CEO Jang Soo Man. To take revenge for his lost mother and younger brother, he has been working for his father's wife Jung Mal Ran (Lee Mi Sook) and her son Jang Boo Cheon (Jang Seung Jo), while keeping his real identity a secret. Thanks to his intelligence, he quickly enters the inner circle of the company. To help Boo Cheon defeat his cousin and become the company's successor, Pil Joo suggests that Boo Cheon marries environmental activist Na Mo Hyun (Park Se Young), whose father is a presidential candidate. However, he finds himself irresistibly drawn to Mo Hyun's free-spirited charms.

    Prosecutor-in-training Eun Bong Hee (Nam Ji Hyun) discovers that her boyfriend Hee Joon (Chan Sung) cheated on her. After breaking up with Hee Joon, she is assigned to work with prosecutor Noh Ji Wook (Ji Chang Wook). Hee Joon returns to Eun Bong's home to pack his things but is mysteriously stabbed to death. Suddenly pinpointed as a murder suspect, Bong Hee gets released with the help of Ji Wook. Though Ji Wook gets demoted for assisting Bong Hee, he decides to help her find the real culprit to prove her innocence.

    Along with the release of the blockbuster Gintama feature film, the three-episode spin-off series Gintama: Mitsuba Hen was aired online on dTV in the same week as the film's opening. Oguri Shun also appears as eccentric silver-haired samurai Sakata Gintoki in this extension of the Gintama live-action universe, but the story focuses on the Shinsengumi officers Hijikata Toshiro and Okita Sogo, played by Yagira Yuya and Yoshizawa Ryo, and Kitano Kie as Okita's sister.

    Mitsuba (Kitano Kie) arrives in Edo for marital preparations, and goes to the station to visit her younger brother Sogo (Yoshizawa Ryo). As Mitsuba is worried about her brother not having friends, Sogo grabs Gintoki (Oguri Shun) and introducers him as his friend. Meanwhile, Hijikata Toshiro (Yagira Yuya) is looking into an incident involving a suspicious vessel and discovers that Mitsuba may be implicated. In the course of the investigation, Toshiro and Mitsuba's surprising past ties are revealed.
