    Descendants of the Sun screenwriter Kim Eun Sook and director Lee Eun Bok join hands again for their second collaboration Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (a.k.a. Goblin). Starring Gong Yoo (Big) and Kim Go Eun (Cheese in the Trap), tvN's fantasy romcom tells the fateful tale of a goblin and a high school girl who can see ghosts. Playing the goblin struggling with his immortality, Gong Yoo was crowned Best Actor at the 53rd Baeksang Arts Awards, where Kim Eun Sook won the Grand Prize. The highly praised drama also co-stars Lee Dong Wook (Hotel King) as an amnesiac grim reaper, Yoo In Na (One More Happy Ending) as an attractive chicken restaurant owner and BTOB's Yook Sung Jae (The Town: The Uninvited) as the goblin's rebellious and troublemaking nephew. Rising teen stars Kim So Hyun and Kwak Dong Yeon appear in cameo roles.

    Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) was an invincible general of the Goryeo dynasty who was killed by the King, and then turned into a goblin. His eternal life can end only when he finds a bride who can pull out the sword impaled in his chest. Hundreds of years later, he saves a dying pregnant woman who later gives birth to Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun). Since her mother's death, Eun Tak has been mistreated by her aunt's family. While celebrating her lonely birthday, she happens to meet Kim Shin. Upon learning that Kim Shin is a goblin, Eun Tak reveals her identity as his bride.
