Captain Of Destiny (2015) (DVD) (Ep.1-32) (End) (Multi-audio) (English Subtitled) (TVB Drama) (US Version) DVD Region All
Ruco Chan (Actor)
| Grace Chan (Actor)
| Tony Hung (Actor)
| Elaine Yao (Actor)
As early as 1999, TVB has talked about building a drama series around Cheung Po Tsai, the much-loved pirate and Robin Hood figure whose footsteps can be traced all over Hong Kong. In 2015, the station realized this vision with Captain of Destiny. Combining the historical setting of Cheung Po Tsai's era with HKD$30 million worth of CGI, TVB crafted a fantastical story of a modern-day policewoman who travels back in time to the Qing Dynasty. While chasing a notorious thief on a windsurfing board, Cheung Chau policewoman Wong Tai Mui (Grace Chan) is engulfed by a waterspout and somehow transported 200 years back in time. She immediately runs into a pirate crew headed by Cheng Yat (Law Lok Lam) and his wife Shek Giu (Maggie Shiu). Within their ranks is the couple's adopted son, Cheung Po Tsai (Tony Hung). During her wait for another waterspout to take her home, Wong Tai Mui is reluctantly roped into the pirate fold and soon finds herself embroiled in the pirates' conflict with the Qing Empire, whose naval operations are run by the noble Prince Man Ho (Ruco Chan).

Destination Nowhere (2016) (DVD) (Ep. 1-30) (End) (English Subtitled) (TVB Drama) (US Version) DVD Region All
Kevin Cheng (Actor)
| Kristal Tin (Actor)
| James Ng (Actor)
| King Kong (Actor)
Starring Kevin Cheng, Kristal Tin and King Kong, TVB's 2017 crime suspense drama Destination Nowhere begins with three seemingly ordinary and unrelated stories about the lives of a police officer, a reporter, and a laborer. Their lives converge due to an abduction case that takes a shocking turn. When emergency situations arise, Detective Man (Kevin Cheng) always thinks things out, acts tentatively and plays it safe. The reason for his cowardice is that he doesn't want his orphaned niece Yu (Winki Lai) to lose her only family member. Despite his humble aspirations, Man somehow manages to get out of dicey situations every time and advance his career. Fresh out of college, Yu becomes a rookie reporter under her idol, renowned journalist Cal (Kristal Tin).
Known for covering hot-button issues, Cal is a respected name in the industry. Her private life, however, is far less successful. Her second husband's failed investments have depleted the money left behind by her first husband, and led to a deteriorating relationship with her daughter Chloe (Jessica Kan). In order to pay for Chloe's overseas schooling, the financially strapped Cal accepts a bribe in exchange for not exposing a corruption scandal.
Immigrant Hark (King Kong) has always worked and lived strictly by the rules, but his overly honest ways often backfire on him. When his sister falls ill, the desperate Hark finally breaks the rules. He joins Lau (Louis Yuen) and Kwan (Tyson Chak) to rob a mansion, but they run into Chloe in the process. On the spur of the moment, the trio kidnap Chloe.
Man gets assigned to the kidnapping case and develops a bond with Cal as he helps her cope with the loss of her daughter. The case, however, grows increasingly complicated as lives are lost under mysterious circumstances and secrets gradually come to the surface.

Swipe Tap Love (DVD) (End) (English Subtitled) (TVB Drama) (US Version) DVD Region All
Raymond Wong (Actor)
| Priscilla Wong (Actor)
| Elaine Yao (Actor)
| Kelly Fu (Actor)
Directed and produced by Andy Chan, who wrote the mega-popular Heart of Greed and Moonlight Resonance, TVB's 2014 romance and family drama Swipe Tap Love tells a different kind of story than the two twist-filled soaps the producer is best known for. With Swipe Tap Love, Andy Chan crafts a heartwarming tale of love, friendship and family around the ubiquitous smartphone. The date is September 9, 2009, and reporter Yu Chor Gin (Priscilla Wong) has just finished covering the mass weddings occurring on the lucky date when she is sent to cover a fire that claims the lives of a couple. This causes Chor Gin to think about her father's untimely death and how she was unable to see him one last time. Wandering around, lost in her thoughts, Chor Gin meets Lok Tin Sung (Raymond Wong), the brother of the woman who died in the fire. Like Chor Gin, Tin Sung was also unable to say goodbye to his sister. The two keep each other company, and at the end of the night, Chor Gin decides to send a text message saying "I miss you" to Cheng Yat Hei (Tony Hung), who has been pursuing her.
The year is now 2013, and Chor Gin's relationship with Yat Hei has ended after four years. A chance meeting brings Chor Gin and Tin Sung together again, and the two begin to communicate through text messages...
