Utada Hikaru proves, despite a lengthy hiatus, that she is without question the queen of Japanese Pop music. Meaningful, heartfelt lyrics accompany catchy, well played instruments and electronic samples in typical Hikki fashion. You'll struggle to find a single track on Fantome that you dislike, it is simply, in my opinion, a masterpiece, not just of Japanese pop music, but music in general. Everything Utada Hikaru does is perfection, and this album is no exception.
