Starting in 2017, the Heaven's Feel route of the Fate/stay night visual novel game is being adapted into a trilogy of animated films by director Sudo Tomonori and studio Ufotable, which also handled the Unlimited Blade Works series. The trilogy closes in on the truth of the Holy Grail War through the story of Emiya Shiro and Mato Sakura.

The end of the Holy Grail War is in sight in Spring Song, the third and final film of the series. With the final battle upon them, each person must confront fate and challenge their destinies, whether it's Sakura who is engulfed in darkness, or Shiro who has vowed to fight for justice and to protect Sakura at all costs.
