YesAsia Editorial Description

The return of undercover cop Chow Sing Sing (Stephen Chow) comes with a price: a demotion to traffic cop! Fight Back to School 2 brings us the further exploits of the most hilarious undercover cop ever, as he tackles an all new challenge that requires him to go undercover in high school once more! Chow is demoted after annoying one of his superiors, and is forbidden from interfering with the undercover case going on at a local international high school. However, even official orders can't keep Chow Sing Sing down! He enrolls into the school anyway to pursue his own investigation, a move that doesn't thrill his superiors at all. Plus, when he meets an adorable student (Athena Chu) who may be involved with the case, his fiancee Sharla Cheung may not be too thrilled, either! Loaded with tons of sight gags, movie parodies (watch for Richard Ng Man Tat's Terminator 2 impression), some well-staged firearms action (courtesy of director Gordon Chan), and Stephen Chow's patented comedy persona, Fight Back to School 2 is a sequel that's able to match, and possibly even surpass the original!

Product Information

Director: Gordon Chan

Tat joked that he wanted to join the Serious Crime Unit and Sing claimed that he did not want to seek fame and wealth but became a Traffic Police. Unexpectedly the boss approved their request immediately. Tat was forced to stop working because he was found having another pistol. Tat went to Sing to seek help. Therefore, Tat pretended to be a teacher and Sing pretended to be a student in an international school. Eventually heavily armed terrorists appeared. Then Sing mobilized the cops in the Special Unit. Wong underestimated the power of the terrorists and had a tough battle with them. Finally Sing and Tat defeated all terrorists. Tat and Sing were promoted once again and became heroes in the police force.

Spotty sequel Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
"Fight Back To School 2" seems like a product that was cranked out because the first "Fight Back" film was such a smashing success. The first film took seriously its premise of a young cop going undercover in a high school to sniff out a criminal gang and, while there, falling in love with a beautiful teacher; the comedy, romance, and action were integrated brilliantly in a coherent story. In this sequel, the viewer gets a similar story, but it plays out as an absurd series of loosely integrated comedic and action set pieces.

Of course, this being a film featuring Stephen Chow, Ng Man Tat, and Deanie Ip, there are plenty of laughs, including, best of all, a brilliant sequence in which Ng Man Tat does a hilarious Terminator impression. In what I believe was her first film appearance, 20 year old Athena Chu impresses as a beautiful high school student who captures Stephen's heart, much to the chagrin of his fiancee Sharla Cheung.

While not up to the standards of its predecessor, "Fight Back To School 2" deserves a place in the collection of every Stephen Chow fan. Viewers should be warned that the film's action scenes have an extreme level of violence that more closely resembles a John Woo 'bullet ballet' than what one expects from a comedy.

Worth buying Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
First off, I bought this movie because of Chilam and Athena, but I have to say that it's a very good movie, Chilam and Athena made it even better. I've found myself crying during the movie, very interesting story. Highly recommended!!!

Very funny Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I thought the story plot was okay but the jokes were hilarious! Stephen Chow really looks funny in a school boy uniform and Richard Ng was very humorous as his part, too(the pretending to have a muscle nerve problem, etc). Buy this!
