All I can Say is WOW... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
From the beginning, I have always said that I love Se7en's music, and him as an artist. He always improves as time progresses, and this album, First Se7en is nothing short of impressive. From Start to finish, this album has so many elements that are brought together to produce a very unique album. I am very satisfied with this album and I am glad that I purchased it. It will be in my stereo for a long time to come. Seriously.

Fave songs would include: Puzzle. In this song, he mixes Japanese and Korean together in the lyrics, which make this song exceptionally different, yet brilliant at the same time. Track 3 (Written in Kana, and I can't really read Kana) is a great song. I love the way Se7en sings the song. The beat is bangin' and features Perry, who sings a whole verse in English. Cool. Shinkiro is also yet another great song. This song has the low-key trip-hop thing going on, and I like how the song slows down, then kinda speeds up again, and back and forth. Rainbow, although probably the shortest song, is my fave song on this album. This was the song that made me want to really check out his Japanese album in the first place. This song is full of beautiful strings, a sample of some voice(think of a beat that twista or kanye would do), and a beautifull piano playing in the background. Add Se7en's voice and you get the best song on this album. I could definitely see A.Keys doing a song like this. Last of Diary is a classic, timeless song. Although I prefer the Korean version of this song, simply because I understand Korean, I know that this is originally a Japanese song, and that's why I can appreciate it in Japanese too. The lyrics in Korean are a bit different fron the Japanese lyrics, though. It's beautiful, simply put. This song puts me to sleep at night. One word to describe the next song, Red Voice: Different? It's growing on me, but not quite there yet. Getting there though. Still, it's very good. sonomama de is a beautiful song. I love how Se7en sings this song. I like the note that this song is played in: E flat. I love songs played in E flat. Pretty, and smooth. Style is yet another song by Se7en that I liked the first time I heard it. It definitely shows the versatility that Se7en has, making the transition from Jpop to Kr&b and back. Song gets an A+, in my opinion. Forever Mind is nice, not my fave, but it's still a song that I could listen to on this album without skipping over it before it gets halfway done. Key of Love: Fave slow song on this album. It's sang beautifully, and I like the harmonization and the way the music is played. Think of Ayumi Hamasaki's "Dearest". Well done, Se7en. Hikari, is a good song. It is very Jpop. One of the first Jpop songs I ever heard from Se7en. This song will never wear its welcome with me. The song Forever, is the final song on this track. This song also includes Korean lyrics, but not so much as Puzzle does. Forever is a nice way to end this album. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy

In retrospect, this album makes me definitely look forward to his next Japanese album, and his U.S. debut. I know that both are gonna be phenomenal. Se7en always has, still does, and always will have my support. Se7en 4ever. This album gets 10 out of 10 for brilliance, 5 stars for the quality and singing, and 2 thumbs up for originality and creativity. Whatever rewards that Se7en has gotten and will still earn in the future for this album, he most definitely deserves it. He works hard, and it is evident in this album, and his many other works. Thanks for sharing yet another brilliant and ingenious album. I recommend that you all go out and buy this album now. You Must Listen. For real.

Se7en's first Jpn album. Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
From a person who's not a fan of jpop, this album was pretty good. As always Se7en's voice is great, and watching the DVD really helped the songs grow on me.

And actually, when I first heard 24/7 and First Se7en (this was at the same time), I thought First Se7en was better. The ballads really caught my attention but later 24/7 grew on me a lot more and that's a whole other review.

I'm sure jpop lovers will really like this album so give it a try! Another commendable effort by Se7en.

A Must-Buy Album Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Since i'm not such a big fan of RnB in the American music industry.
But all of Se7en's album is fabulous and now i'm addicted to Asian RnB...lolz.
His Japanese album has a nice tune and melody to his songs especially Red Voice and Style, love those songs.
I've bought all of his albums and is great, he even sang three songs in cute (I'm chinese) :)
Please support this very talented artist by buying his albums...It's worth it.

SE7EN Is Cool Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I just have one question: for the people who bought the Hikari singe, does anyone know what happened to the second song that's on there? It's not on this album. I looked for it. I'm not sure of the name, but it consists of just two Japanese Kanji Symbols. It's the second song on the Hikari single. That song is AWESOME. I listen to it all the time. Personally, I wouldn't completely rule out his Japanese or his Korean. They both sound good to me. I just saw SE7EN live in concert on May 20, 2006. He was great. I couldn't believe he was actually in LA. He shot a music video in LA a long time ago, but I never thought he'd be in concert here. That was pretty cool. I'll remember that for the rest of my life. SE7EN will always be great. I think he should concentrate on being classified as a Jpop singer for now, like BoA. People know her as a Jpop singer, as well as Kpop. People know SE7EN mostly for his Korean. His Japanese is improving greatly though. I wish him the best of luck in both Japan and Korea. GOOD LUCK, SE7EN!!!

Defies expectations Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Seriously, the people who keep raving about how Se7en should just stick to singing in Korean really need to open their eyes and ears. "First Se7en" is MUCH MUCH better than his latest korean album "24/Se7en," and I would say it is on par with "Must Listen" (his second korean CD). True, his image is slightly different in the Japanese market-- the best word I can think of to sum it up is 'refreshing.' The tracks are uplifting, creative in style, and... how should i put this... they give you the feeling that you just came out of the shower, haha. You really get your money's worth with First Se7en, even though it is a pretty hefty price. If you bought 24/7 and even like it at all, I guarantee you'll love First Se7en. This CD really breathes life into a music industry that I feel is getting stale. I got version A which comes with 4 MVs and behind the scenes clips. The MVs, although not his best, are great to watch on my big TV screen nevertheless. I absolutely love that tie he wears in the 'Style' MV. =D I'm really impressed that in addition to singing in Japanese, he took the effort to learn how to converse fluently in the language too. Anyway, it's a great album, and although the price is intimidating, it's definitely worth it.
