Korean-Chinese auteur Zhang Lu (Ode to the Goose) sets his 11th feature Fukuoka in Japan, where two middle-aged men and a young woman embark on an odd three-day journey. Kwon Hae Hyo (Peninsula), Yoon Je Moon (Okja) and Parasite star Park So Dam lead the indie movie, which premiered at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival.
Je Moon and Hae Hyo used to be good friends in college, but drifted apart because they were in love with the same girl, Soon Yi. Now, after 28 years, Je Woon becomes the owner of Soon Yi's favorite bookstore in Korea. His regular customer So Dam urges him to visit Fukuoka to look for Hae Hyo, who runs a pub in Soon Yi's hometown. The three finally meet at his bar and stay together for three days.
