Who says gangsters can lead only a life of crime? Director Chien Ren Hao (Buttonman) argues against that with his new action comedy Gangster Rock. A mix of Monga and Cape No. 7, Gangster Rock tells the story of a hardened gangster who puts down his life of crime and unwittingly becomes in charge of a rock band. Leon Jay Williams (Jump) and Van Fan (Cape No. 7) team up in this testosterone-filled film where the music - performed by Van himself - is as powerful as the action.

Hao (Leon Jay Williams) is a foul-tempered gangster who collects debts for his gang. One day, he's assigned to collect money from a record company executive, but he ends up taking over the company's failing band instead. The band is led by Hai (Van Fan), who is in his current situation after being scammed by his former manager. When the two men meet, Hao suddenly comes up with the idea of getting his money by helping Hai's band sell records and perform concerts, starting off a crazy journey that shows what happens when crime and music collide.

Taiwan Version Blu-ray comes with making-of and three music videos from the film starring Van himself.

誰說黑社會不能玩音樂

一個整天惹事生非，鬱鬱不得志的街頭混混阿豪（立威廉飾演），個性衝動火爆的他，卻偏偏有著黑社會不該有的正義感。原本只是要去唱片公司收債，卻碰到唱片公司老闆跑路，只剩下一個倒楣樂團背黑鍋。

這個樂團主唱阿海（范逸臣飾演），因為聽信唱片公司經紀人的花言巧語，而欠下大批債務，差點走上不歸路，此時正巧遇上門要債的阿豪，兩人卻一拍即合，阿豪異想天開，想要幫阿海他們出唱片，開演唱會來還債，卻因此栽進五光十色的演藝界，他才赫然發覺演藝圈簡直比黑社會還要複雜險惡，同時還要應付來自黑社會的威脅……
