Girls' Generation kicked off their first Asia tour Into the New World in Seoul on December 19-20, 2009. The girls followed in 2010 with additional encore concerts in Korea and overseas stops in Shanghai, Taiwan, and Japan. This 2-CD concert album is a recording of their December 2009 show, including live tracks of Chocolate Love, Genie Rock Tronic Remix, Jessica's solo Barbie Girl, Soo Young's Santa Baby, and other Soshi hits and special stages. The album also includes the bonus tracks Singin' in the Rain and Beautiful Girls featuring Yoo Young Jin.

I ordered this, as my first SNSD CD and I love it. It has a large majority of their songs, and hearing them sing live, with the crowd cheering and screaming is amazing. The first time i played it, (on surround sound) it was like being at their concert. Ah such a fan-girl moment.

Other than that, the packaging and picture booklet inside are well presented. This is the perfect item for any SONE. I definitely recommend. Oh and I bought the poster which is very cute >.<

To the person asking the question below me. This album is CD only and includes basically clear studio versions of all the songs sang in their first concert.

Alot of their hit songs can be found on their other albums but the crowd cheering and chanting in the background gives listeners a whole new experience. It's really fun and enjoyable to listen to these versions.

Also includes many old hit covers like Aqaus barbie song sang by Jess and some newer covers like Pussy Cat Doll's Hush Hush Hush Hush sang by Taeyeon, and Rihannas umbrella sang by Tiff(My all time fav SNSD cover)

i got a question, this is the dvd of the concert or the cd?? i mean i got the cd, but it only sounds the concert and you cant see the concert so thats why im asking if it is the dvd or cd

SNSD - love your auditorium thang! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Hey!!!!!!!!! Girl’s Generation doing their live thang on this double pack ‘2010 December concert’! No doubt an energetic and fun collective of SNSD songs (with familiar covers as well), featuring great sound quality (mixed and multi tracked to the hilt!) and overall a fine compilation in itself. But no, it’s not completely vocally live, what with no musicians and/or orchestra its more like a big theatre disco karaoke, pumping out a mixture of pre-recorded SNSD song mixes, album vocals and live singing. Certainly the girls vocals are live, but the main choruses to ‘Gee’, ‘Oh!’, ‘Be Happy’ et al are the girl’s studio recording vocal mixes, either played ‘live’ over the PA system or mixed in afterwards for this CD release (you’d have to have seem this concert to know for sure). But this form of all round live entertainment is not just about ‘live vocals’ (ironically) its also big on the visuals (steady now fellas!), and considering SNSD’s intense visual dance routines, costume changes, a long song concert list of 36 tracks, the girls would have surely been mentally knackered dancing, singing and changing like fury for a ‘debut Asia Tour’ and singing flat out choruses and solos! Give ‘em due credit, I say! :D Tomorrows another improved SNSD concert day!

But saying that, I really like this album, and I don’t think it really matters it not being a full on ‘live’ effort (early days). It’s not a rock or classical concert (where being ‘totally live’ would be uttley crucial!) No, it’s SNSD’s first big stab at this whole auditorium thang (and vast crowds and stage fright alone would scare the cr*p out of me!) and I’m sure they’ll hone future live performances, in all respects. What matters, is SNSD are graced with some good songs here and mixes. The “Genie” rock tronic remix is superb, as is the ‘Umbrella’ and ‘Sunny’ covers and a whole host of popular SNSD songs follow one after the other, to make for a great constant listening experience. The electro ‘Nine Angels’ intro is interesting, too; its eerily cold stark intro I could imagine much dry ice manifesting before the nine appeared on stage (pink dry ice?). The concert then kicking off with “Genie - rocktronic” was good! A ‘real live show feel’ only really comes across though on “Touch the Sky”, where SNSD/audience interactions are more felt. But definitely good atmosphere/vibes here! As yet, no DVD version available? Surely a ‘visual concert’ should follow? Anyway, SNSD, love your auditorium thang!

this was my first YesAsia.com purchase for my daughter(who is writing this review)and (although i had to wait a few weeks for it to get to me) it was worth it ^_^ there were pictures of the girls i had never seen before and i love ALL the songs! it's so convinient that i don't have to wait for all of the songs to come on iTunes and i can just carry them all with me! this is an amazing CD!!! :D SNSD SARANGHAE!!! <3
